Heartland: As many of our readers know, the Canadian produced Family TV Series, Heartland, had a couple of episodes filmed at some local Alberta Farms. Both Blue Valley Farms and Anderson Ranch played host to the crew and cast for this Alberta based family drama. Look for Calgary based riders in the show, Rodney Tulloch from Blue Valley Farms, and RMSJ's own Tani Anderson who played stunt double to Ashley. Tani did all of the jumping as Ashley's double. The Season Finale aired on CBC last night, and both of these local stables were featured in the episode. The episodes can be viewed online by going to the CBC website. View the Series Finale Riders Websites: FYI: Just for information purposes, we thought we would highlight a few riders websites from time to time. We will start with a few of our Canadian Riders' websites: Click on their name to visit their site! John Pearce Developing Riders Tour: Rocky Mountain Show Jumping would like to welcome to its group of valued sponsors Alpine Auto Werks, and Fox Creek Construction. The Alberta Show Jumping Association (ASJA) and the Alberta Hunter Horse Society were incorporated just four years apart back in the 1980's. There has been some discussion over the last few years by various parties that the two associations should merge into one greater entity as there seems to be a good amount of overlap because the two are basically serving the same population in the province. RMSJ Winter Training Series Hunter II Starts Friday: The second of the 2008 RMSJ Winter Training Series Hunter Tournaments is scheduled to get underway this coming Friday, February 29th. There is also a spot on the membership form for riders to declare for the Alberta Select Riders Program. Please take a few minutes to fill out your 2008 ASJA membership, and send it into the address located on the form. Remember, all RMSJ tournaments are a part of the ASJA Star Series, and points will not be counted towards the year end championships, unless you are an ASJA member and have declared yourself as a Three or Five Star rider.
