Rocky Mountain Show Jumping is pleased at this time to announce a partnership with Gaitpost Magazine for the soon to be launched Ringside Magazine. Stay Tuned! for the first issue of the bi-monthly Magazine produced by Rocky Mountain Show Jumping....We will be taking you "RingSide"

With the announcement of Ringside Magazine, we have had numerous requests by people asking for things they would like to see in the magazine. There will be 6 issues per year, if you would like to see certain topics covered, or if you would like to write an article, story, or tidbit yourself, please feel free to contact Ringside with an email! We pride ourselves here at Rocky Mountain on being a place for everyone, and welcome everyone's participation in all of our projects.

Mid Summer Classics:

With the Bow Valley Classics in our rear view mirror, focus has now turned to the Mid Summer Classics. The management of Rocky Mountain Show Jumping would like to let all of our exhibitors know that all of the information pertaining to the upcoming Mid Summer Classics has been posted to our website. Remember that an ALL INCLUSIVE prize list was posted that will cover all of the outdoor tournaments to be held here in 2010 with the exception of the third Rocky Mountain Classic and the Medal Finals, being held in September. Information on these tournaments will be posted later this year.

Please note that the entries for the Mid Summer Classics will close on Thursday June 10th. It was previously announced as June 1. We appologize for that...it was a misprint, however thank everyone who have entered already. As our tournaments have grown tremendously over the past number of years, it has become more important for us to get our exhibitors entries in as early as possible so that we may create the stabling charts. The demand for our new permanent stabling is huge, and there are only 288 stalls available so far, until more barns can be built. Remember, that stabling will be awarded to competitors on a first come first serve basis.

With the great efforts of exhibitors for the Bow Valley Classics, we will continue to reward exhibitors for getting their entries to us on time. The Mid Summer Classics are Bronze, Silver, & Gold tournaments this year. A $25.00, $50.00, and $100.00 discount will be awarded to each exhibitor that enters before the closing date. A late fee of $100.00 for the bronze and silver, and $200.00 for the gold will be assessed to entries not received on time.

A stabling request form is available on our website, and we ask that Trainers and Stable managers take the time to fill it out and return it to us to ensure their stalls are reserved and all of your clients are stabled together.

Please note the St. Georges Derby Day sheet located HERE with information pertaining to this action packed day at our great neighbor’s facility just west of Anderson Ranch.

Canadian Sport Horse Day at Anderson Ranch:

Does your horse have the potential to be a great jumper? Is its movement destined for the dressage ring? Is it fancy enough for the hunter ring? Is it for sale?

Find out at the CSHA Sport Horse Day at Anderson Ranch. The afternoon will start of with a Showcase of Sales Horses suited for sport that that are currently looking for their next home. That will be followed by a wine and cheese compliments of Creekside Farm and Turkey Royal compliments of Jackson’s Deli. Then we will move on to the educational part of the evening. A free jumping clinic when renowned trainer, judge, CSHA Stallion Inspector, Bob Henselwood will be on hand to provide you with an individual assessment.

The ‘Showcase’ will feature sales horses under saddle and over fences with owners offering them for sale. Each horse will be assigned an order of go and time will be given for the owner or agent to highlight their horses’ talents and abilities in the ring.

The Free Jumping Clinic format is straightforward.  Participating horses strut their stuff on the flat and over jumps while Bob evaluates their conformation and natural jumping ability. Bob takes particulars into account as each horse warms up over X’s then goes through the chute. He’ll tell you what he looks for in a successful jumper and whether he thinks your horse is well suited to this discipline. Bob comments openly on what he sees and, generous with his knowledge, welcomes questions from the audience whether you’ve brought a horse with you or not.

The Showcase is scheduled for 5:00pm, Free jumping clinic at 7:00pm on Tuesday, June 15, 2010 at Anderson Ranch just south of Spruce Meadows.  The cost per equine participant is $50 for the showcase, $125 for the free jumping clinic or $150 for both for non-members and $40 for the showcase, $100 for the free jumping clinic or $125 for both. Auditing is available for a fee of $20 for CSHA members and $25 for non-members, payable upon entry.

Those interested in attending or bringing participants for the Showcase or Free Jumping Clinic with Bob Henselwood are invited to contact Linda Ackermann Click Here for more Info.
