Calgary, Alberta - The Management of Rocky Mountain Show Jumping is pleased at this time to announce that our venue has officially become licensed by the United States Equestrian Federation. By licensing our venue with the USEF, we will now be able to host many more competitions that will attract more hunter, jumper, and equitation competitors from the United States. Beginning this summer at the Mid Summer Classic III, USEF licensed events will be hosted, including the USEF Hunter Seat Equitation, the USEF Show Jumping Talent Search, the ASPCA Maclay, the USEF Adult Medal, and the USEF Pony Medal. At our Rocky Mountain Classics being held in August, all of these USEF medals will be hosted, as well as a full complement of hunter competitions to satisfy the needs of the American riders in the hunt of valuable USEF points to get them qualified for the eastern indoor season in the fall. Last week, an official $10,000 challenge went out to all Junior and Amateur competitors under the age of 21 and eligible to compete in the CET Medal where RMSJ will award a $10,000 scholarship to any Alberta rider who wins the CET Medal Finals at the Royal winter Fair in Toronto. Becoming USEF licensed is just another way that the team at RMSJ is dedicating itself to the continuing development of the next generation of riders in our sport. With the significant expansion projects we have acted upon in the past few years, we are no ready to invite exhibitors from afar to our venue. By hosting USEF competitions as well, it can only help to improve the local hunter and equitation market. Attracting riders with a much stronger base in the hunters and equitation’s should help to better our local hunter/equitation market. We look forward to hosting USEF Licensed tournaments in the future, and will welcome more American competitors to our facility and give them the service that our local Alberta and Western Canadian competitors have come to expect from our team here at Anderson Ranch. Rocky Mountain Show Jumping hosts its tournaments at Anderson Ranch in Calgary’s south end, a world-class facility featuring permanent stabling for 300 horses with a main competition grass grand prix field complete with natural obstacles.
